A quick dessert in less than 30 minutes
So the holy days of Ramadan is coming to an end and all are ready to welcome EID..EID MUBARAK EVERYONE..
With Allah’s blessing we are going to celebrate this eid with our parents…The best part is that summer vacation started here at Qatar. Now hopefully I can spend more time with my family and of course with my blog too.. Got so many pending posts to be done..Some unique recipes are also there on the bucket list to try this vacation. As my parents are here with us, I want to post some typical Kerala / Malabari dishes in the blog.. Because every time I am cooking these dishes, I have to call and ask them the recipe.
So today I am posting a dessert recipe which can be done quickly in order to impress your family and friends during eid..The recipe requires almost zero effort. I love croissants , especially the ones with some kind of filling. Last day I bought chocolate croissants from the market thinking of this recipe. First I was planning to make a plain croissant pudding, Later the plan was changed as I saw Fresh cherries in the fridge. The result was really very good. My dad , who is a big picky eater approved the recipe and he finished half of the pudding! That was something really special for me.
Let’s check the recipe now.
- Chocolate Croissant-1 box
- Sweet Condensed milk- 3 tablespoons
- Sugar- 3 tablespoons
- Cherry- 10-12 numbers (without seed and cut to half)
- Caramel Syrup- 2 tablespoons
- Milk- ¼ cup
- Butter-a small cube pieces
(NOTE: Quantity of sweet ingredients can be increased or reduced as per your taste)
How to make:
1) In a bowl add eggs , sweet condensed milk, milk and sugar . Then whisk all together till it becomes a smooth mixture..
2)Now add caramel syrup to this solution and mix.3) Spread some butter over the baking dish and place the croissant slices evenly on it..
4) Put the cherries all over the croissant slices and pour the egg mixture which we prepared evenly to this..5)Now put small chunks of butter over the croissant-Cherry layer..so that the pudding would be enriched with the butter flavor..
6)Bake this in an preheated oven for 15-18 minutes at 150 degree..
( NOTE: the baking time completely depends on the oven..once the liquid content gets dry , you can take it outside)
Serve hot as per your wish.. I served it as it is.. It can also be served with a scoop of ice cream or a with some caramel syrup !!
