Sundried Tomato-Jalapeno Hummus
Hummus!! I have never seen anyone who don’t like hummus..so is my family too.. We all love hummus.. As we are residing in Middle East ( Qatar ), this popular Arabic dish is easily available in all its glory..
And this is my second recipe of Hummus.. Before I have posted a normal hummus recipe with homemade tahini , two years back..And it was a big hit in my blog as well as in the dining table..
So this time I’m coming up with Sundried Tomato-Jalapeño Hummus.. Both the ingredients are my family’s favorite..And the attempt was really worth.. My family and friends loved it.. I hope you all will love it.. Do give a try for this quick recipe..
- Cooked Chickpeas-1 tin ( processed one or fresh ones)
- Tahini- 4 spoon
- Garlic-4 cloves
- Water-1/4 cup
- Lime juice-of 1 big lemon
- Salt-as per needed
- Sundried tomato- 6-8 pieces
- Jalapeño-a handful
- Olive oil-as per needed
(NB: if you don’t have tahini, you can prepare it.click the link of Tahini Recipe here)
How to make:
1) first of all add 3/4 of the jalapenos and Sundried tomatoes in the blender .. Add garlic order tramadol american express cloves as well..Blend till it becomes a smooth paste..
2)Then add the left Sundried tomatoes and jalapeño , topped with tahini, olive oil( say 2 spoon) ,chickpeas , lime juice, salt and water. Blend this nicely.. This time I didn’t blend it to paste like consistency..Because I wanted to keep it a bit crunchy..
3)now serve the hummus to a serving bowl topped with more olive oil if needed..
This time I tried to keep the hummus as a healthy dip for Cucumber and Carrot !! And I served this around 7 in the evening , and that night we didn’t have dinner.. So the hummus dip served with veggies was quite filling..
This quantity was enough to serve 10 people.. So if you are planning for a potluck or party , include this hummus as well.. And this unusual recipe of hummus will get you some compliments !!
so give it a try and let me know..I’m taking this to Fiesta Friday hosted by Angie and co-hosts this week are Elaine @ foodbod and Michelle @ O Blog Offnjoy folks:)!!
