Creamy Paneer Matar Curry

How many of you used to order Paneer curry whenever you are eating from an Indian restaurant,??? Almost everyone loves this authentic Indian dishPaneer Matar style paneer matar curry

Now let’s make this yummy Paneer Matar curry at home with the same richness and taste , anytime you feel style paneer matar curry

This creamy Paneer Matar curry can be served with Chapathi/ Rice / any kind of bread..Last day i served it with Kerala APPAM..So a North Indian curry with the South Indian Appam:)restaurant style paneer matar curry

So here is the recipe:

Ingredients:restaurant style paneer matar curry

  • Paneer-250 grams
  • Peas-1/4 cup ( frozen or fresh ) I used frozen ones
  • Onion-1 big ( finely chopped)
  • Tomato-1 ( finely chopped )
  • Green chilly-2 ( chopped )
  • Cilantro leaves-a handful ( chopped)
  • Butter-1 spoon
  • Cumin seeds-a pinch
  • Red chilly powder-1+1/2 spoon
  • Kashmiri chilly powder-1/2 spoon
  • Turmeric powder-1/4 spoon
  • Garam masala powder-1/2 teaspoon
  • Cooking cream -4 spoon
  • Garlic -5 cloves ( crushed)
  • Salt-as per needed

How to make:

1)first heat the wok, add butter and splutter the cumin seeds.. Then add the onion and sauté well..let it cook for some style paneer matar curry

2)now add salt , garlic ,green chilies.. Stir well..once the onion becomes transparent and soft, add tomatoes.. With the spatula crush the tomatoes well..this will make it to a paste like style paneer matar curry

3)now add all the spice powders.. Mix it well with the tomato-onion paste.. If needed add more salt and cook well.. Later add some water and then add peas.. Stir gently..and cook this for 2-3 minutes with lid style paneer matar curry

4)now add the paneer cubes and stir gently so that all the flavor gets mixed up..cook this for another 4 minutes with the lid closed on medium flame..

5)now open the lid and pour some more water.. Then cook well till the water content reduces .. Now add the key ingredient-fresh cooking cream.. Mix well and reduce the flame.. Add more cream if you need more curry..cook this for 3 style paneer matar curry

6)sprinkle a handful of chopped cilantro leaves and off the flame!!restaurant style paneer matar curry
