Aloo Keema Matar
Aloo Keema Matar is a favorite dish of my family.. We all just love eating this yummy dish?!! And I learnt this particular one from my dad.. He is an awesome cook.. Minced lamb curry / Aloo Keema Matar will go well with Chapathi/ pita bread /any kind of bread or ghee rice as well…
The recipe is very easy with few steps.. As the lamb meat is already minced, there is no issue regarding cooking time..within minutes it would be done.
So here is the recipe:
Minced Lamb / keema- 500 gms ( I used freshly minced lamb )
Onion-2 ( chopped )
Tomatoes-2 ( chopped )
Peas-a hand full/ 1/2 cup( fresh / if it is dry peas cook with salt )
Potato-2 medium ( chopped and half boiled)
Tomato paste – 3 spoon
Ginger-a big piece( crush it nicely)
Garlic-2 cloves ( crushed )
Red chilly powder-1 spoon
Kashmiri chilly powder-2 spoon
Turmeric powder-1/2 spoon
Coriander powder-1 spoon
Garam masala powder-1 teaspoon
Salt-as per needed
Cilantro leaves-a small bunch ( chopped )
Curry leaves-a handful
How to make:
1) heat a wok or pan.. Add oil, when it is done add onion and sauté buy genuine tramadol online uk well for 2-3 mins..later add salt, minced meat and curry leaves..the smell and flavor of curry leaves should get mixed with the meat.. Cook this for 4-5 mins in medium flame with lid closed..
2)now add all the spice powders and mix well..then add the tomato paste and stir nicely.. Let it cook for some time..
3)now add fresh tomatoes , crushed ginger and garlic, cilantro leaves .. And stir well.. After 3-4 minutes add the cooked potatoes and peas.. So the last ingredient is also gone to the curry.. If needed add more salt/spices.. Then cook it well in sim for 5-6 mins with the lid closed.. In between stir it gently..
And finish off with a handful of chopped cilantro leaves and off the flame..
So our Aloo Keema Matar is ready!! Serve it hot with your favorite bread/ rice?!!
