Spicy Thenga Chammanthi
Hi guyz…🙋🏻!! I hope all are njoying summer / monsoon depending where you are residing currently ..So here comes a quick recipe which you can Njoy on both the times..Actually I was about to post this recipe during Ramadan😌!! But it’s okay, this recipe we can try anytime..
Chammanthi will go quite well with Dosa/ Idli / Appam /Bhaji 😋etc etc.. This time I made this with chicken-Egg Bhaji /chicken stuffed egg butterfly( click the link to get the recipe )!
I know Spicy Coconut/ Thenga Chammanthi is a simple recipe which everyone knows, at least all South Indians!! But Trust me, this recipe is very easy and handy one..The highlights of this dish is that :-
It is made with desiccated coconut( very helpful when you don’t have fresh coconut)!
Cooking is done in Microwave !
Can be done in 6-8 mins !
So let’s check the recipe:
- Desiccated coconut-1/2 cup( or as per needed )
- Shallots- a handful
- Spring onion- 2-3 ( chopped )
- Coconut oil – 2 spoon
- Chilly powder- 1/2 spoon
- Curry leaves-a handful
- Tomato-1 ( sliced )
- Red chilly-2/3
- Salt-as per taste
How to make:( the easiest instruction ever😛!!)
1) mix all the ingredients listed above in a microwave plate and microwave it for 2 minutes)
2) once it is cool enough , blend it nicely..
So our yummy spicy Coconut Chammanthi is ready😃!!
