Zero Oil Chicken Curry
Hiiiiii everyone!! It’s been a long time .. Posting after a big gap..life is getting really busy and these days I was completely away from my kitchen..!! Kind of fed up with the take outs!.. Soooooo it’s time to get back to the kitchen & to my blogging world❤️❤️!! today i’m coming with a a zero oil chicken curry recipe!!
so here is a new beginning with a zero oil chicken curry recipe!! The highlight of the recipe is that it’s done in no time.. this is a super quick recipe which I learnt from my mom..and now started preparing without oil-but the taste remained same & too good…and if you are a Chicken curry lover, here is the recipe of Kerala style varutharacha chicken curry (click the link)!!
so here’s the recipe:
- chicken-500 gm(cut to medium size)
- tomato-2 (sliced)
- ginger-1 small pc(finely chopped /crushed)
- garlic-4-6 cloves(chopped /crushed)
- green chilly-3(sliced to half)
- mint & cilantro leaves-a small bunch(chopped)
- red chilly powder-1 teaspoon
- coriander powder-2 spoon
- Chicken masala powder-3 spoon
- garam masala powder-1/2 teaspoon
- turmeric powder-1/2 teaspoon
- water-1/2 cup
- salt-as per needed
How to make:
1)first of all add all the ingredients except chicken in the cooking pot and mix well with hands(do wear your gloves :-))
2)now add the chicken and salt ..mix this too well with the other ingredients..now ON the flame and close the pot with a lid..
3)stir occasionally and check if to add anything more (at high flame in the beginning and later medium flame)…after 10-12 mins the curry would become thick and chicken get cooked..so finish off with chopped leaves..
so the yummy curry is done!! very quick and this works well for me,when i am cooking late,lazy ,tired or if there’s some guests..
the curry would go well with chapathi,rice,ghee rice and at my home it goes well with DOSA:-)
yeah..that’s our favorite combination..crispy yummy dosa’s and spicy chicken curry..
