Butter Chicken / ” Murgh Makhani “:
okayyy… So here’s is an easy recipe of Butter chicken which i used to prepare at home.. Few years back i searched a lot more recipes on the same and finally concluded with this one( mixing all the possible ingredients & methods from here and there) and made it to fit my family’s taste buds?!
and it was a hit when i served for my family & cousins..?!!must say, it tasted good with the spicy curry along with a sweet touch..I am taking this to Miz Helen’s Full Plate Thursday🙂
here’s the recipe:
Chicken-1/2 kg( i prefer small pcs mostly boneless )
onion-3 medium sized ( finely chopped )
Tomato-1 big( chopped )
tomato ketchup-2 spoon
Kasoori methi/ dried fenugreek leaves -1 1/2 spoon( crushed well with hands )
Kashmiri chilly powder-3 spoon( i used no artificial color )
Red chilly powder-1 1/2 spoon
turmeric powder-1/4 teaspoon
cumin powder- 1 teaspoon
coriander powder-1 1/2 spoon
garam masala powder-1/2 teaspoon
Add more whole garam masala if needed, as i used the garam masala powder i made it minimal..
butter-1 bar as shown in the image
fresh cream-4 spoon or more
cilantro & mint leaves-a small bunch ( chopped )
ginger-2 small pcs( crushed )
garlic-8-10 cloves( chopped )
How to make:
1)first of all heat the pot and add 1/4 if the butter.. Let it melt..
2)add onion along with ginger & garlic..saute for a while till soft..
3)now add all the masala powders and garam masala ..mix well..
4)now add tomatoes along with 1/4 cup water..saute well together..now add ketchup and blend all together..
5)add some more butter and saute well & then off the flame..serve it to a plate and let it cool..
6)now blend this masala well in a blender till smooth..
7)now heat the same pot in which we cooked the masala..add butter and melt it well..
8)now add the chicken along with some salt and cook well..
9)the chicken should be cooked well in butter..
10)now add the pasted masala to this chicken and Brush out all the leftovers in the blender with rest of the water.. Cook well in medium flame.
11)cook this for 6-8 mins and make the flame to sim.. Now add the fresh cream slowly and blend well with curry..
now we got yummy creamy curry?!!
12)finish off with chopped leaves and some more butter..cook for a couple of mins in low flame..
now off the flame!!
murgh makhani / butter chicken is done?!!
i love eating this with ghee rice!! For me it is the best ❤?!!
