Okra-Yogurt Curry!!( “Bhindi Dahi / Vendakka Thairu “)

Okra-Yogurt Curry (“Bhindi-Dahi/ Vendakka Thairu”):

Its been since a long that i posted a normal curry recipe.. Some Okra was left in the refrigerator .. So I thought why not “Okra-Yogurt Curry?”!!

This is really very easy to do and a Super Hit for Lunch along with Rice!! everyone in my family loves it especially my little one…

Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:

Okra/ Ladies Finger-10 small/as per needed ( chopped )

Onion-1 medium ( chopped )

tomato-1 ( Chopped )

Red Chilly-2 ( cut to half )

Mustard seeds-a pinch

Fenugreek seeds- a small pinch

Cumin seeds-a small pinch

Yogurt-3/4 tin

Water-1/2 cup

Turmeric powder-1 teaspoon

Red chilly powder-1/2 teaspoon

Cilantro leaves & Curry leaves-a handful( finely purchase tramadol uk chopped )

Coconut oil-2 1/2 spoon

Ginger-1 medium pc( finely chopped )

Garlic-8-10cloves( finely chopped )

How to make:

1)heat a wok, add 2 spoon oil and splutter Fenugreek seeds, mustard & cumin seeds along with redchilly..

2)now add onion and saute for few seconds..add okra along with some salt and stir well..

3)cook this in medium flame for 5-6 mins..

4)now add ginger& garlic.. Saute well and later add tomatoes..

5)now add the masala powders along with water and leaves.. Cook this till the water content boils well..

6)at this point of time off the flame and pour yogurt and mix well..

7)the yogurt should become mixed completely with the okra curry and soft..

Okra-yogurt Curry is done!!

 

We serve it along with rice..
