Anchovy Fish in Crushed Coconut Paste/ Natholi Thoran:
This is one recipe that I dint tried yet..but I’m used to eat well it when my mom cooks.. The taste is so divine??!! We could eat it with rice or even without ?, it’s that tasty!!
Anchovy fish is full of health benefits..its really good for skin, heart, bones and eyes..
So today I am posting one that unique recipe which I learnt from
Anchovy Fish-250 gm
coconut-1/2 cup ( grated )
fennel seeds-1/2 teaspoon
turmeric powder-1 teaspoon
red chilly powder-1 teaspoon
Coconut oil-1 big spoon
mustard seeds-a pinch
red chilly-2 ( cut to half )
How to cook:
1) first of all add turmeric powder, chilly powder and salt to the cleaned fishes..
2)later add some water and boil it for a while..till it become soft..off the flame and drain the excess water..
)now crush the coconut,shallots,fennel seeds,chillies together in a blender.. Don’t over grind it..
4)now heat a wok.. Add oil.. When its hot splutter the mustard seeds,red chillies and curry leaves..
4)now add the crushed coconut paste..and stir well.. It has to be mixed well with the oil..
5)later add the fish and mix together well..Cook for 4-5 mins and off the flame.. Finish it off with some more oil over it..
serve hot and njoy this with rice.. Really easy and awesome recipe..
