Pav bhaji masala plays a key role in the list of top best Indian street food.. Its delicious and at the same time healthy too because of its veggie ingredients..Its a special feeling to have these kind of food from the streets of India.. Even I cherish the memory of my first Pav Bhaji from the streets of Delhi(Capital city of India) with my hubby!! So here’s the recipe of that famous Indian street food-Pav bhaji masala that could be easily done at home☺!!

and it’s a great lunch box recipe as well..


Ingredients for pav bhaji masala : image   pav bhaji masala

  • Onion-2( finely chopped)
  • Tomato- 2( finely chopped)
  • carrot-3( chopped)
  • beans-5( chopped)
  • cauliflower-1/2
  • potato-2( chopped )
  • Butter- ( as per needed )
  • Pav bhaji masala powder- 3 big spoons
  • chilly powder- 1/2 teaspoon salt-as per needed

Ingredients For Seasoning :

  • Onion- 2( finely chopped )
  • tomato- 2 ( finely chopped )
  • lemon- 1 ( sliced)
  • cilantro leaves- as per needed image

 

How to make :

1) first step in this recipe is to boil all the veggie stuff other than onion and tomato!! The veggies need to be cooked well  till it becomes soft enough to mash..don’t forget to add salt while boiling!

2)strain the boiled veggies to a bowl n save the veg stock(water in which the veggies are boiled).. Because v need it later.. Also all the nutritious factors of the veggies are now in this water.. So don’t simply throw it away.. Then add the chilly powder and a pinch of pav bhaji masala powder to the veggie stuff, so that the flavor would get mixed well before mashing then mash all the veggies until it becomes soft n smooth without chunks? image 3) now heat the wok, add butter to it and let it melt.. Later add onion and saute well.. When it turns transparent add tomatoes and saute till it becomes a thick paste. image 4) now add the mashed veggies along with the veggie stock and pav bhaji masala powder.. Saute till the flavor is completely absorbed into the veggie stuff.. Almost cook for 8-10 minutes.. image 5) now comes the seasoning part.. Serve the masala to a plate,squeeze some lemon juice, finish with chopped onion and tomatoes along with cilantro leaves and a piece of butter!! image And serve it with the pav (bun) toasted with butter.. But here i’m using bread slices because there’s some leftovers from last day?!! i hope you all would definitely try this pav bhaji masala, its really easy and yummy to eat!!
